Italy, US and Colombia bust massive drug trafficking ring

Several traffickers have been arrested and significants amounts of cocaine seized as part of the operation, called 'Due Mari', which was coordinated between Italy's financial police, Calabria's anti-mafia squad (DDA), the Colombian National Police and America's Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

The details of the investigation will be revealed at a press conference at the anti-mafia and anti-terrorism agency in Rome at midday CET. The conference will be attended by Franco Roberti, Italy's anti-mafia and anti-terror chief, and Reggio Calabria's chief prosecutor Cafiero De Raho as well as representatives from the Colombian and American police forces.
